Storybridge is a nonprofit organization dedicated to giving at-risk children access to quality, age-appropriate books to call their own.
Our Mission: To remove barriers to early literacy for at-risk children by providing free access to quality, age-appropriate books.
As each of us has received a gift from God, use it to serve one another.
Research has shown that 2 out of 3 low-income families do not have a single children's book in their house. In Amarillo, we have 35 public schools receiving Title 1 funding. In those schools, the percentage low-income students ranges from 71 – 96%. This means thousands of children in our city have zero age-appropriate books of their own, making it exponentially more difficult for them to be successful in school.
At Storybridge, we have made it our mission to help Amarillo close this gap. We will serve as the bridge from overflowing bookshelves to empty ones. Join us and make an immediate difference in the life of a child!
